The triceratops was a rhinoceros-like dinosaur. It was a really sturdy animal that had three horns and a very large bony plate projecting from the back of its head. The horns were most likely used for protection from fierce predators like T-Rex and to fight off other males when looking for a mate. It is one of the largest skulls ever discovered in a land animal. Its skull could reach 10 feet or 3 meters in length. Triceratops were 30 feet long and 10 feet high.
